Judaica

I love investing in Judaica this time of year because there’s more of it than any other time of year. But I feel like it's hard to find beautiful wares that are chic and not covered in cartoon-blue dreidels and stars. Here are a few beautiful things I found this year (click images for links):

I texted this to my MIL for a gift idea the evening they released and when she went to buy one in the morning they were sold out! In classic Shari form she reached out to them (in classic Alissa form I told her not to) and they happened to have one more! B'sheret!

I actually found this beautiful collection at Sur La Table through someone I went to college with who designed it! I was a little late and many items were sold out but I got the salad plates and towels.

I have bought a few things from Peace Love Light Shop since I found them last year:

This set of neutral votives I can’t wait to set out for dinner during Chanukkah.

This Chamsa table runner (which is a little short for my dining table but should look pretty on the buffet).

I love these wooden stars so much- I bought them last year and kept them up all winter, and used them again in the Sukkah in the fall.

Modern Tribe also has a huge selection of Judaica but I think requires a little more discretion. I get dreidels, kid stuff, shabbat candles etc from them regularly though. This Star of David serving platter is on my list!

I prefer shopping small, and when I’m shopping Judaica I like to support Jewish businesses first but I have to say that Target has really stepped it up in the last few years. They even had Sukkot decorations which is literally unheard of.

I got these plates and brass Star of David things last year but they don’t seem to be available. This year I got a candle holder and drip tray (I’ve been sticking tin foil under the menorah since I was a kid, never occurred to me you could use an actual tray). Jungalow seems to have a decent Jewish selection around the holidays!
