I’ve heard horror stories about husbands who sit around at home playing video games while their wives cook dinner, change diapers, bathe the baby, and take out the garbage. I’m lucky enough to have a husband who works long hours and then comes home and whips up the most unbelievable gourmet dinners out of whatever happens to be in the fridge. He could seriously compete in Top Chef or the Next Food Network Star.

Last night, I hadn’t had a chance to make it to the grocery in a while and what did he do? Made something spectacular with frozen field peas and sausage. I hate field peas but not that night.Somehow he made field peas delicious.

The other meals included steak with a crab and mushroom topping with strawberries and a balsamic reduction for dessert. And then breakfast for dinner – a variation on eggs benedict that he totally made up, hashbrown rounds, fruit. Look at the pics-the presentation is beautiful.
