I’m Dana Barfield.

For the last five years I’ve worked as a writer in the PR industry. During this time I also wrote the middle-grade novel, Bear Bay:The Soul of Peace, which I’m currently shopping around to agents.

In March 2011, I became a mother for the first time to a little boy named Charlie. With a baby, my priorities have shifted and I’m compelled to write about the things that matter most to my life.

Pregnancy and child rearing.
Publishing my novel and other writing projects.
Spirituality with a focus on figuring out the ego.

I think these topics offer up plenty of blogging fodder leading to fun digression and real insight.

So come along with me as I embark on this new journey.  I have no idea what to expect, but I’m sure it will be exciting, scary, life-changing, and wonderful. I look forward to hearing from you.
